Update a Referral

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select to highlight the referral on the Referral History grid that you want to update. Select Edit.The Referrals – Orders template appears. Referrals Order Update the template with the new information. Select Save.You are returned to the Care Coordination Home Page with the entry for the referral updated in the Referral History grid. Generate a Referral Document

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select to highlight the referral on the Referral History grid for which you need the document. Select Referral.The system generates and displays the requested referral document. Parent topic: Referral History Panel

Add Referrals

You can document a referral to a specialty, obstetrics, and therapy for a patient in the Referrals Order template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. To open the Referrals Order template, do one of the following: On the Intake template, in the Orders section, select Referrals from the list, then select Add. On the SOAP template, in the Assessment/Plan section, select Referrals from the list. On the Care Coordination Home template, in the Referral History section, select Add. Select the Referrals tab. The Referrals Order template opens. You can select the information icon to learn more about the Referrals Order template. On the Referrals tab, select the insurance provider. Enter the insurance policy number, and then select the referral type. Select the diagnosis from the list. Note: You must select at least one diagnosis for the referral. Remove a Barrier to Care

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select to highlight the barrier to care on the Barriers to Care panel that you want to delete. Select the Remove button.You are prompted to confirm the delete. Select the Yes button.You are returned to the Care Coordination Home Page with the selected barrier to care removed from the Barriers to Care grid. Remove an ER Visit

Before you begin Ensure that you have selected the Specialty and Visit Type as Care Management. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Comp Assessment tab, expand Recent ER Visits (in last 12 months) panel. Highlight the record that you want to remove from the grid. Select Remove.
