Add a New Procedure Details

You can enter additional procedure details when needed in a patient record using the Procedure panel. Select Site and select a procedure site from the list.A list of procedure categories opens. Select a procedure category from the list. A list of procedures opens. Note: Procedure is linked to a site on the Procedure Config practice template. Select a type of procedure from the list. Select Pre Procedure Diagnosis to open the diagnosis search window and select a diagnosis.The selected diagnosis and the associated code appear in the Pre Procedure Diagnosis field and Code field respectively. Select the Indication link to start the Procedure indications template. Procedure indications The pretexts for the indications appear in the Pretext grid. Select a pre-text from the Pretext grid. Remove a Patient Discharge Instruction

Click Specialty and select a specialty from the list. Click the Patient Discharge Instructions option. (Optional) Select a Procedure and Category. The grid displays the pre-configured discharge instructions associated with the selected procedure and category. Highlight a row in the grid. Click Remove. The selected discharge instruction is removed from the grid. Note: If you attempt to remove a patient discharge instruction that has a value in the Required field, an alert message appears to confirm. Remove a Procedure Order

Select a Specialty, Procedure, Type, and Category to display the pre-configured procedure orders in the grid. The General Procedure Order option is selected by default. If you want to remove a medication procedure order, select Medication Procedure Order. Highlight a row in the grid. Click Remove. The selected procedure order is removed from the grid. Remove a Procedure Finding

You can remove a procedure finding from the grid using the Procedure Findings panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Procedure Findings panel. Select a row from the grid in the Procedure Findings panel. Select Remove. Edit the Existing Procedure Findings in the Grid

In the Findings panel, select the row of the finding below the GET. The ASC Phy Procedure Findings template opens. Select the applicable sections on the left pane and make relevant changes to the selections on the right grid. To remove a selection from the concatenation, you need to re-select the value. The asterisk (*) clears from the value and concatenated record updates to reflect the changes. Select Close.The updated findings appear in the grid below the GET. Remove Procedure Documentation and Procedure Findings Descriptions

You can remove a procedure documentation or procedure finding from the grid using the Documentation panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. In Select Template, select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Documentation Config and select OK. On the Procedure Documentation Config practice template, expand the Documentation panel. Select Procedure and select a procedure from the list. Select the Procedure documentation or Procedure findings option. Select a value from the left pane. The associated descriptions appear in the right grid. Select a description from the right grid amd select Remove. Note: If the selected record is required for the regulatory, registry, or GIQuIC quality measures, an alert message appears indicating that the record has a value in the Required field.
