You can select the enable Order module setting on the Practice Configuration template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Practice Configuration practice template, in the Orders/Plans section, select the Enable Order Module checkbox. Select Save and Close. Setting Up to Place Orders Directly from the Order Module

You can set up the place orders for guideline of the patient from the Order module. You can directly place orders for lab and radiology guideline items from the Order module by selecting the Enable Order Module setting in the Orders/Plans section of the Practice Configuration practice template. Selecting the Enable Order Module setting configures the Care Guidelines Paged View template to open the Order module whenever the checkbox for a guideline orderable item is selected. You can then place orders for the guideline item from the Order module. When you save the changes, the Order module closes and returns to the workflow on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. The status of the guideline item is updated to ordered and the date ordered displays below the Status field. Open the Practice Configuration Template

You can browse the Practice Configuration template to edit a patient's record. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select All .A list of practice level templates appears. Select Practice Configuration, and then select OK.The Practice Configuration template opens. Open System or Practice Template

You can configure the templates related to the system and practice category using the system or practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. To view all the available templates, click All. To view the practice templates, click Practice. To view the system templates, click System. Access the Practice Configuration Template

You can open the Practice Configuration practice template in NextGen® Enterprise EHR to configure Evaluation and Management (E&M) coding guidelines. For more information on the Practice Configuration template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Practice Configuration Template User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. From the File menu, select System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. If the Practice Configuration template is not in your Preferred templates list, in the Show section, select the All option. A list of practice templates appears. Open Your Custom Practice Template with an Orders Management Order Control

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Do one of the following: On the File menu , select System\Practice Template. If available, execute a template field trigger for selecting system and practice templates. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select one of the following options: To display all of the available practice templates, select All. If you have a user-defined, preferred list of templates, select Preferred to display them. You can use the Templates Preferences feature of NextGen® Enterprise EHR to define your list of preferred templates. Locate and double-click your practice's template with the Orders Management order control. To quickly find the template, select any row in the list, and enter the first few letters of the template name. The first matching template is highlighted in the list.
