Clinical Pharmacist Recommendations

You can provide medication recommendations to the providers and contribute to patient care as part of the Care Team. As a licensed clinical pharmacist, you can use the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template to provide medication recommendations to treat the minor or acute conditions of the patient. The recommendations from the clinical pharmacist help the provider plan the line of treatment for a patient. You can provide recommendations to the patient visiting for the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics specialties, using the Clinical Pharmacist visit type. You can open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template using the Clinical Pharmacist button, link, or a sub-navigation link configured by the practice. Using the Framework Content system template, practices can configure the Clinical Pharmacist link in any of the templates, such as Intake and Histories. Manage Clinical Pharmacist Recommendations

A clinical pharmacist can add, update, or remove recommendations using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. The clinical pharmacist's recommendations help the provider plan the line of treatment for the patient. Before you begin Ensure to select the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics specialty and Clinical Pharmacist as the visit type. You can add only one recommendation for a patient to an encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. To add a recommendation, enter your comments in Clinical Pharmacist Note. To update a recommendation, make the required changes to the comments in Clinical Pharmacist Note. Include Clinical Pharmacist Recommendations in Patient Plan

Clinical pharmacists can include a recommendation in the patient plan using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. Before you begin Ensure to select the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics specialty and the Clinical Pharmacist visit type. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. Type your recommendations in Clinical Pharmacist Note. Select Include in Patient Plan. Select Save & Close. Clinical Pharmacist Workflow

Clinical pharmacists can review the patient details and provide medication recommendations using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. During a patient's encounter, a provider can involve a licensed clinical pharmacist to provide medication recommendations. The clinical pharmacist can be at provider's office or at the same practice. For the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics specialties, the clinical pharmacist uses the Clinical Pharmacist visit type to review the patient details and provide medication recommendations using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. Patient Encounter Documentation

You can use NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine templates to document patient encounters on the visit types associated with the specialties available. The standard office and virtual visit workflow are documented on the following templates: Intake Histories SOAP Finalize Checkout Note: The workflow may vary with some specialties such as ophthalmology, cardiology, and obstetrics.
