Manage Clinical Pharmacist Recommendations

A clinical pharmacist can add, update, or remove recommendations using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. The clinical pharmacist's recommendations help the provider plan the line of treatment for the patient. Before you begin Ensure to select the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics specialty and Clinical Pharmacist as the visit type. You can add only one recommendation for a patient to an encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. To add a recommendation, enter your comments in Clinical Pharmacist Note. To update a recommendation, make the required changes to the comments in Clinical Pharmacist Note. Open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendations Template

You can open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template from the left navigation bar or from the navigation link configured on the Intake, Histories, or any other template. Before you begin Ensure that the Clinical Pharmacist navigation link has been configured in the required template using the Framework Content system template. You can use the Custom Navigation practice template to configure the Clinical Pharmacist link in the left navigation bar. Clinical Pharmacist Recommendations

You can provide medication recommendations to the providers and contribute to patient care as part of the Care Team. As a licensed clinical pharmacist, you can use the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template to provide medication recommendations to treat the minor or acute conditions of the patient. The recommendations from the clinical pharmacist help the provider plan the line of treatment for a patient. You can provide recommendations to the patient visiting for the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics specialties, using the Clinical Pharmacist visit type. You can open the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template using the Clinical Pharmacist button, link, or a sub-navigation link configured by the practice. Using the Framework Content system template, practices can configure the Clinical Pharmacist link in any of the templates, such as Intake and Histories. Clinical Pharmacist Workflow

Clinical pharmacists can review the patient details and provide medication recommendations using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. During a patient's encounter, a provider can involve a licensed clinical pharmacist to provide medication recommendations. The clinical pharmacist can be at provider's office or at the same practice. For the Family Practice, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics specialties, the clinical pharmacist uses the Clinical Pharmacist visit type to review the patient details and provide medication recommendations using the Clinical Pharmacist Recommendation template. Add Patient Information from NextGen® Enterprise EHR to My Lists

You can add patient information from the NextGen® Enterprise EHR to the My Lists tab. You can only add one patient at a time from the Patient Information Card (PIC). Access NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On NextGen® Enterprise EHR main toolbar, select Patient. The Patient Lookup window opens. Select a patient, and then select Open. On the PIC, select Profile Options, and then select Add Patient to My List from the list. The Save as My List window opens. Under Update Saved List, From Name, select the required existing My List name. Select Merge to include all patients from both lists or select Override to replace all patients in the existing list.
