Modify the Specimen Details
In the
Specimen Collection
panel, you can modify the specimen records in the grid.
Note:
You must select the
Specimen collection
filter option above the grid to modify the specimen details.
In the
Specimen Collection
panel, highlight a specimen record in the grid.
Select
Edit
.
Make relevant changes in the applicable fields.
Select
Save & Close
.
The data updates in the grid.

Document Specimen Collection Details
On the ASC-Intraprocedure template, go to the Specimen Collection panel, and select Add.The ASC Specimen Collection template opens. Enter the following specimen collection details: Send to Method Type Qty To enter the Location where the specimen was obtained, do one of the following: To add a single location, select a value from the list and select Cancel. To add more than one location, select a value from the list, select OK to select another location, and then select Cancel to close the list. The selected options concatenate in the Location field separated by commas. The maximum character limit of the field is 100. An alert message appears if you exceed the maximum limit of characters in the Location field. Select the Container the specimen is stored in from the list. The system displays the following fields with data from the corresponding procedure documented in the Procedure panel. Document Specimen Removal without Retrieval Details
The Specimen Collection panel also allows you to document the case where the specimen was removed but could not be retrieved and was left in the body. In the Specimen Collection panel, select Add to open the ASC Specimen Collection template. Select No for Specimen obtained. Specimen Collection Select the Method field and select a pathology method from the list.The Pathology Type list opens. Select the specimen type from the list. Enter the quality of the specimen in the Qty field. You can select the drop-down arrow and enter the quality using the numeric keypad. Select Location and select the location from where the specimen is obtained.You can select multiple locations from the list. To add more than one location, select OK and select another location. Select Cancel to close the list. If applicable, select Procedure and select the applicable procedure from the list.The system fills the Pre Procedure Diagnosis description and the associated Code, and Pre Procedure Indication fields aut

Specimen Collection Panel
The Specimen Collection panel allows you to document all of the information needed to send the pathology specimen to a lab for processing, and to print out a complete lab requisition containing all the required documentation. You can print individual lab requisitions for an individual or a group of specimens when all the specimens are being sent to a single lab. Specimen Collection Filters and Fields in the Specimen Collection Panel Description Specimen collection filter Default filter for the grid. Displays all specimen records. Use the Send to and Ordered fields to filter the specimen records. Specimen order Displays the status of the specimen records. Edit button Displays when the Specimen order filter is selected. Allow you to edit the status of the order or enter the result. Requisition button Generates the lab requisition document. Modify an Interface Details
You can update interface details in the Interface section. On the Practice Configuration template, scroll to the Interface section. In the Interface grid, double-click a row to be edited. The Interface Configuration template opens. Make relevant edits in the applicable fields. Select Save and then select Close.The modified data updates in the grid. Parent topic: Interfaces

Edit Equipment Details
In the Equipment Log panel, you can modify the equipment details in the grid. On the Equipment Log practice template, expand the Equipment Log panel. Select a row in the grid in the Equipment Log panel. The data is populated in the corresponding fields at the top of the grid. Make relevant changes. Click Update. Modify a Record in the Grid
