Document the Patient Pre-Procedure Prep Details
Select Prep Type and select an appropriate prep type from the list. If the options are not appropriate for selection, double-click the top blank row in the list and enter the prep type in the Prep Type field. Enter any Comments on the pre-procedure prep given to the patient. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments. For more information on managing and using the My Phrases functionality, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Getting Started User Guide for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. The Clear button clears the data from the fields. To sort the phrases in the list, select the Summary or Phrase option and then select the My Phrases link. Select Add.The data appears in the grid. Remove a Patient Prep

Modify a Patient Instruction
Select a patient instruction in the grid. The fields above the grid appears with the corresponding data. Make relevant changes to the instruction and select Update.The modified pre-admission patient instruction updates in the grid. To remove a pre-admission instruction from the grid, select a row and select Remove.The Patient Instructions button generates the pre-admission patient instruction document. The document includes procedure, scheduling screening questions, and pre admission patient instructions details. You can print the document for a reference and provide a copy to the patient. Modify an Existing Procedure Details
You can edit the existing procedure details for a patient record using the Procedure panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Home Page template and set the Specialty to Ambulatory Surgery and the Visit Type to Procedure Preadmission. Select a row from the grid in the Procedure panel. The selected data fillss in the corresponding fields. Note: The Site field is unavailable for modification. Make relevant changes in the applicable fields. Select Add/Update. Modify Patient Instructions
On the ASC Preadmission Activity Config practice template, Patient Instructions panel, select a row in the grid. The fields above the grid populate with the corresponding data. Update IV Details
You can modify the IV insertion or removal details or the IV fluid details in the IV panel. In the IV panel, select the Insertion/Removal or IV fluid option.The corresponding records appear in the grid. Highlight a row in the grid and select Edit.The ASC IV template opens. The data appears in the corresponding fields. Make relevant changes in the applicable fields. Select Save & Close.The modified data updates in the grid.
