Modify the Pre-Procedure Prep Details

Select a row in the grid.The fields above the grid appears with the corresponding data. Make relevant changes in the applicable fields. Select Update.The modified data updates in the grid. Add a Patient Prep

Select Prep type and select the pre-procedure prep type given to the patient. To manually enter the prep name, select the Prep type field and select the top-blank row in the list. If the list options are not appropriate for selection, select the top-blank row in the list and enter the prep name manually in the Prep type field. For Prep completion, select the status of the prep. Select Last solid intake date. To enter the Last solid intake time, do one of the following: Select the Last solid intake time field and enter the time. Select the clock to add the current system time. Select Last liquid intake date to select a date. To enter Last liquid intake time select the clock to add the current system time in the Last liquid intake time field. Select Prep results and select the appropriate result after patient prep. To enter additional information on the patient prep, select Comments.You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments in the Comments fie

Document the Patient's Discharge Information

Enter appropriate patient discharge information in the applicable fields.For Patient left facility with, the Name and Relationship fields appear with data if documented in Verified patient has a ride home in the Pre-Procedure Care panel on the ASC - Preprocedure template. Any changes made to the Patient left facility with data will not impact the data in the Verified patient has a ride home fields. In the Patient Personal Effects section, select the applicable checkboxes and options to indicate the patient's belongings are returned. Note: The values entered in the Patient Personal Effects section in the Pre-Procedure Care panel of the ASC - Preprocedure template appear in the Discharge Documentation panel. Add Comments on the ASC Documentation Log Entries

Comments can be added to entries documented on the ASC Documentation Log template. To add comments for an entry type, select Add/Edit Comments to open the Documentation Log Comments template. Select the desired row in the grid. Enter any additional comments in the Comments field and select Update. The comments appear under the Comments column in the grid. You can use the My Phrases link at the top-right of the Comments field to add comments in the Comments field. The My Phrases/ Common Phrases link allows you to create a phrase that displays in the list opened from the My Phrases link. In the Patient Consent section enter the required details to generate the Consent Report. In the Patient Bill of Rights section enter the required details to generate Patient Bill of Rights report. Document Specimen Removal without Retrieval Details

The Specimen Collection panel also allows you to document the case where the specimen was removed but could not be retrieved and was left in the body. In the Specimen Collection panel, select Add to open the ASC Specimen Collection template. Select No for Specimen obtained. Specimen Collection Select the Method field and select a pathology method from the list.The Pathology Type list opens. Select the specimen type from the list. Enter the quality of the specimen in the Qty field. You can select the drop-down arrow and enter the quality using the numeric keypad. Select Location and select the location from where the specimen is obtained.You can select multiple locations from the list. To add more than one location, select OK and select another location.
