Restock and Administer the Medications in the Order Management Template

The Restock Medication checkbox and Administered option enables you to indicate any changes to actual dispensing, or administering medication records. Verify the medications in the grid. Select the medication from the grid. Medication information appears in the fields above with a Restock Medication section. If a patient needs to restock the medication, click the Restock Medication checkbox. Order Management template Enter the quantity in the Quantity field. Enter Comments. Click Save.An alert message appears that the medicines are restocked and the refills left for the medication. The Quantity entered will add to the Refills Remaining and will subtract from the Dispense Quantity. This update the Units used and Available units fields in the Medication Configuration template. If you click Print Label, it launches a crystal report. This report shows the remaining refills.The refills remaining are also updated in the Medications module. Dispense Medications in the Order Management Template

The Manage Selected Order section is used to dispense, restock, and administer medicines and add additional SIGs. Highlight the medication in the grid.If you have not configured the selected medications in the Medication Configuration system template, an alert message appears. Order Management template If the medications are configured in the Medication Configuration template, it updates the Order, Lot number, Expiration date and other fields. Order Management template If there is an Additional SIG available, click the Additional SIG checkbox. Click the Additional SIG category and Additional SIG field and select an option from the list. Click the Dispensed option. Enter the Quantity dispensed. Enter Comments. Select a SIM code. Click the Diagnosis code field. Select a diagnosis code. Click Save & Task.The Select Task Recipients window opens. Click OK.An alert message displays if you want to task it to yourself. Add Medications in the Order Management Template

The Medications option and button in the Order Management panel is used to prescribe medications. The medications must be added in the Medication Configuration system template. Open the Order Management template in Intake. Select the Medications option. Click Medications to open the Medication module. Order Management template Select OK. Managing Medication Dispensing

With the medication dispensing functionality on the Order Management template, you can document and manage inventory for medications that are dispensed in-house. The Medication Dispensing Restocking fields enables you to indicate any changes to actual dispensing or administering records. You can document information related to the following: Patient-specific education Counseling regarding birth control methods Tracking medication dispensing with charge capture Refill tracking Patient-specific, location specific, or practice-specific inventory The medications configured on the Medication Configuration template appears on the Order Management template. You can search by the generic name or brand name of the medication, change the display name of the medication, and manage the inventory of the medication based on the location. Configure Medications in the Medication Configuration System Template

The Medication Configuration system template provides instructions configure and document dispensing or administering medications to patients at the practice. You can track and document dispensing while remaining within their current workflows. Only medications set up in the Medication Configuration system template can be dispensed or administered on the Order Management template, provided they have also been placed in the patient’s Medication module. When you dispense or administer a medication in the Order Management template, the new inventory count is updated on the Medication Configuration template. Medication Configuration

The Medication Configuration template allows you to configure and document dispensing or administering medications to patients at the practice. You can track and document dispensing while remaining within their current workflows Only medications set up in the Medication Configuration system template can be dispensed or administered on the Order Management template, provided they have also been placed in the patient’s Medication Module. The Medication Configuration template consists of three panels: Medication Dispensing Inventory Modify Additional SIG Instruction Categories Additional SIG Configuration Add Medication Inventory You can add medication inventory to a location. Manage Additional SIG Instruction Categories Panel You can add, update, and remove additional SIG categories.
