Map Template Medication to GCN

You can map template medication to a generic code number (GCN) in the Data Sets Setup practice template. Open the Data Sets Setup practice template. In the Data Sets field, select Med GCN Mapping and then select Add.The Template Data Sets Setup - [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup Select an FDB Med name.The corresponding GCN and dose are automatically filled. In the Template Med Name field, enter the medication name used in the run-time template and then select Save. To map another medication, select Clear For Add. Parent topic: Med GCN Mapping

Update or Remove GCN Mapping

Open the Data Sets Setup practice template. In the Data Sets field, select Med GCN Mapping.All the existing mappings appear in the grid. Select a record. You can map the test or code information using the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. After you have acquired the codes and descriptions for each guideline, they need to be added as mappings to the care guidelines setup for the practice. Map the Test or Code Information on the Data Sets Setup Practice Template

You can map the test or code information using the Data Sets Setup practice template. Practices using NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 8.3.x and later, can map test codes and description to guidelines using the Test Codes data set on the Data Sets Setup practice template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR Select File > System \ Practice Template > Practice tab > Show All > Data Sets Setup. The Data Sets Setup opens. Select the Data Set field and select Test Codes from the DB picklist. Data Sets Setup Select the Test column to sort the list by Test Name, and then review the existing mappings for the guideline. Select the Add button. The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Select in the Test field to open the Data Sets DB picklist. Select the name of the guideline to be mapped. If the guideline is not listed, select the top blank record, then enter the exact spelling of the guideline to be mapped. Map the Test or Code Information on the Care Guidelines Setup Practice Template

You can map the test or code information using the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. Practices can map test codes and descriptions to guidelines on the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel of the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. You can specify items as exact equivalents and make items orderable on the Care Guidelines Paged View and the Care Guidelines grid view templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel. Select the test name to be mapped from the list. Add the test information in the Intervention Equivalents.
