Map the Test or Code Information on the Care Guidelines Setup Practice Template

You can map the test or code information using the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. Practices can map test codes and descriptions to guidelines on the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel of the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. You can specify items as exact equivalents and make items orderable on the Care Guidelines Paged View and the Care Guidelines grid view templates. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Care Guideline Setup, and then select OK.The Care Guideline Setup practice template opens. Expand the Interventions/Test Equivalent Codes/Descriptions panel. Select the test name to be mapped from the list. Add the test information in the Intervention Equivalents. Mapping Procedure Module Codes in NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 8.4.x and Later

You can map codes to data sets that are configured using the Data Sets Setup practice template. When mapping codes that are submitted to the Procedures module, it is important to note that these mappings are added in a completely separate data set from those for standard office procedure, lab, and diagnostic orders that are configured with the Test Codes data set on the Data Sets Setup practice template or on the Care Guidelines Setup practice template in the Interventions/Test Equivalents Codes/Descriptions panel. Additionally, this functionality is only available in the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine 8.4.x series and later. After you have acquired the codes and descriptions for each guideline, they need to be added as mappings to the care guidelines setup for the practice. Map Test or Code Information Submitted to the Procedures Module

You can map test code or code information submitted to the procedure module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template > Practice tab > Show All > Data Sets Setup. Select the Data Set field and select Care Guidelines Procedure Module Codes from the DB picklist. Select the Test description column to sort the list by Guideline Name, and then review the existing mappings for the guideline. After verifying that the codes are not already present, select the Add button to open the Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template. Template Data Sets Select the Test description field to open the Data Set Item DB picklist. Select the name of the guideline to be mapped. If the guideline is not listed, select the top blank record, then enter the exact spelling of the guideline to be mapped. Enter the exact code for the guideline in the Procedure/SIM Code field. Add Test Code Data Set Items

On the Data Sets Setup template, select Data Set and select Test Codes.The existing data set items associated with the Test Codes data set appear in the grid. Test Codes data set Select Add.The Template Data Sets Setup – [New Record] template opens. Template Data Sets Setup Select Test and select a name that the code or description will be mapped to from the picklist. The picklist displays the list of all test names currently available in the system. The name is used by the practice to identify an order, patient procedure, or lab. Select OK. Note: To enter a test name that is not listed, select the blank line that displays in the picklist and select OK. Type the name in the Test field. Enter one of the following: Codes - Enter the code to be mapped to. The entered code is used by the reference lab or outside study/procedure location to identify the test at their location for ordering or billing purposes. Add a New DHPI Test Code to a Data Set

The DHPI Test Codes data set on Data Sets Setup practice template enables you to apply synonyms for the code or description of tests that are used on dynamic HPI templates. In NextGen® Enterprise, from the File menu, click the System/Practice Template. The Select Template window appears. Click the Practice tab and under Show, click All. Double-click Data Sets Setup to open the practice template. In the Data Set field, click to select DHPI Test Codes from the list. The codes and descriptions associated with the DHPI Test Codes data set appear in the grid. Click Add. The Template Data Sets Setup - [New Record] template appears. Click Test. A list with all the test names currently available in the system appears. Do one of the following: Select a name from the list, and then click OK. Select the blank line near the top of the list to enter a new value, and then click OK to type the name in the Test field. Enter either the Code or Description.
