Map a Specialty and Template with a Custom Visit Type

You can map a specialty and required template with a custom visit type to display on runtime using the Framework Content system template.

1. In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, open the Visit Type Configuration window.
2. Select a specialty with which you want to map the custom visit type.
3. Expand the Tabs and Subnavigation panel.
4. In the Tabs section, select Visit Type, and then select a custom visit type from the list.
5. To map the templates with the custom visit type, do the following:
   1. To map a template to be displayed in the first tab, select the Template list in the Tab 1 column, and then select the required template. For example, select fts_intake.
   2. Type the runtime name of the selected template. For example, type Intake.
   3. To map another template to be displayed in the second tab, select the Template list in the Tab 2 column, and then select the required template. For example, fts_finalize.
   4. Type the runtime name of the selected template. For example, Finalize.
6. Select Add.
7. Close the Framework Content system template from the navigation bar.
   A message appears prompting to save the changes.
8. Select Save.
