Manage the My Plan Tab Caption and Template Name

You can update or remove a My Plan tab caption for a specialty, practice, or provider using the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Framework Content system template.
3. Select a specialty, practice, or provider.
4. Select the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel.
5. Select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template.
6. To select a different row, select Clear.
   In this example, the Family Practice specialty grid has a Labs tab on the My Plan template. The grid shows the caption, the mapped template name, and the sort order.
7. To remove the caption, select the Caption field and remove or update the text.
8. To modify a template name, do one of the following:
   • To remove the template name, select the field and select Clear.
   • To update the template name, select in the field and select a template.
   Note: You cannot clear the Caption or the Template Name fields after you select Update.
9. Select Update.
   The Labs row you selected appears as a blank tab. Also, the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel provides a runtime view of the My Plan template layout based on the selected configuration.
10. To remove a tab, select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template, and select Delete.
