Modify the Framework Template Links

You can modify the links in the Framework Content template using the sub-navigation section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. In the Sub Navigation section, select a row in the grid.The Caption and Template names in each Sub Nav section appear. Make the changes in the Caption and Template fields. To update a link, select Update. To delete a link, select Delete. Add the Framework Template Links

You can add the framework template links in the sub-navigation section associated with each tab. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. Sub navigation Select a tab. In the Sub Navigation section, type a label for the link in the Caption field. Configure the Framework Template Tabs

You can configure the framework template tabs from the Tabs section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. In the Tabs section, to select a visit type from the list, and select the Visit Type field.The Visit Type is based on the specialty that you select. The list includes only those visit types for which you have not configured the tabs. If the visit type is not in the list, select the visit type in the grid. Each visit type is configured to a range of Current Procedural Terminology ( CPT® ) codes which are used to calculate the Evaluation and Management (E&M) code on the Finalize template. Note: The Finalize template in Cardiology and Ophthalmology specialties calculates the codes differently, so you cannot add visit types for these specialties through this process. Modify the Sequence of the My Plan Tab

You can change the sequence of the tabs that appear on the My Plan template using the Sort Order option. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a speciality, practice, or provider. Select the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. In the specialty, practice, or provider grid, select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template.The details about the tab appears in the Caption, Template Name, and Sort Order fields. Note: In this example, if you select the My Plan row item, the sort order appears as 2. That is, the My Plan tab is the second tab. To select a different row, select Clear. To remove the template mapping for a selected caption, select in the Template Name field and then select the Clear link. Select in the Sort Order field and then select a number.In this example, to set the My Plan tab as the last tab, select 8. Manage the My Plan Tab Caption and Template Name

You can update or remove a My Plan tab caption for a specialty, practice, or provider using the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select a specialty, practice, or provider. Select the Assessment/Plan Navigation Configuration panel. Select a row that represents a tab on the My Plan template. To select a different row, select Clear.In this example, the Family Practice specialty grid has a Labs tab on the My Plan template. The grid shows the caption, the mapped template name, and the sort order. To remove the caption, select the Caption field and remove or update the text. To modify a template name, do one of the following: To remove the template name, select the field and select Clear. To update the template name, select in the field and select a template. Note: You cannot clear the Caption or the Template Name fields after you select Update. Select Update.The Labs row you selected appears as a blank

Select a Specialty, Practice, and Provider

To update the My Plan template layout, you must first select a specialty, practice, and provider on the Framework Content system template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. To modify a specialty, practice, or provider, do one of the following: To update the specialty, select a specialty. To update the practice, select a specialty and a practice. To update the provider, select a specialty, a practice, and a provider. The configuration of the selected specialty, practice, and provider appears in all the sections of the Framework Content system template.
