Configure Top Physical Exams

You can add a physical exam template that opens through several selects, for example, the Somatic Dysfunction Findings template, to the top list for easy browsing. Before including a Physical Exam in the top list, the exam must first exist in the all list. Note: You can include up to 14 physical exam items in the top list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Physical Exam panel. Set the Filter to top. Select the field on the Physical Exam Item column of the grid.The Udp Custom Link Filter window opens, with values that already exist in the all list specific to the selected specialty. Select an item from the list and select OK. To add an item to appear in the Physical Exam grid, select Add.Ensure that the Physical Exam Items that are included in the top 14 are available in runtime on the SOAP template in the Physical Exam panel. Add Exams to the Physical Exam List

You must add physical exams to the all list before adding them to the top list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Physical Exam panel. Select all. In the filter by gender field, select and select a gender. To select an item, select the field on the Physical Exam Item column. Select OK and then select Add.The added item appears in the Physical Exam list. To rearrange the items in the Physical Exam list in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. Manage the Reason for Visit Submenu

You can update or delete the items in the Reason for Visit sub-menu. You must enter a sub-menu value before or after the Reason for Visit. In runtime, sub-menus allows you to make another selection to further refine your initial selection. A second selection, in some cases, even a third selection appears. This allows the practice to have a shorter list of reasons for visit. For example, instead of having two reasons that include initial or follow-up, you can add sub-menus initial and follow-up to a reason for visit to indicate whether the visit is initial or follow-up. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Reason for Visit panel. Select the Filter to all. Highlight a complaint in the grid. In the Submenus section, select before and type items in the fields (for example, left, right, and bilateral). If a sub-menu listing is required after the complaint, select after, and type the items in the field. If a sub-menu listing is required before

Modify the Framework Template Links

You can modify the links in the Framework Content template using the sub-navigation section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Tabs and Subnavigation panel. In the Sub Navigation section, select a row in the grid.The Caption and Template names in each Sub Nav section appear. Make the changes in the Caption and Template fields. To update a link, select Update. To delete a link, select Delete. Manage Summary Selections on the Summary List

You can add, remove, and reorder the summary selections on the Summary list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Framework Content system template. Select the Medical Chart Summary panel. To select an item in the list, select the list field on the Summary Item column, and select a summary item.The selected summary item appears in the field. To add the summary item to the grid, select Add. To rearrange the items in the Summary Listing grid in alphabetical order, select Sort Alphabetically. To remove a summary item, select a row in the grid, and select Delete. Configuration of Physical Exam Lists

You can configure the physical exam lists using the Physical Exam panel. You can find two filters on the Physical exam lists. All - All of the configured exams. Top - List of the top 14 exams that the practice uses most frequently and appear in the left pane in the Physical Exam panel. Exams that are included in the top 14 are available in runtime on the SOAP template in the Physical Exam panel. Physical Exam Using Additional option in the left pane, you can open the physical exams that are not listed in the top 14 list. Each physical exam listed in the Physical Exam panel is linked to a template. You can create and store the link on the Manage Custom Links practice template.
