Workflow for Care Guidelines Paged View

You can use the Care Guidelines Paged View template to perform tasks for every encounter with the patient. You can manage guideline items associated with chronic conditions or health maintenance workflow in the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. In the Care Guidelines panel, each item that is part of an active guideline whether it is due or not, appears in a paged format. You can view different pages of active guideline items in the navigation toolbar. Care Guidelines Paged View To use the care guidelines system with a patient, you first have to activate a guideline. Then you can perform the tasks of reviewing and updating the status of individual guideline items in the Care Guidelines panel. Sorting Items in the Care Guidelines Panel

You can sort items in the Care Guidelines panel for a patient encounter. You can sort items in ascending or descending order, alphabetically by Guideline, Next Due date, Status, or Last Completed date in the Care Guidelines panel on the Care Guidelines Paged View template. Working with Orderable Guideline Items

You can order an guideline item for a patient using the Care Guidelines panel. Orderable guideline items have a checkbox used for placing orders. Encounter workflow for orderable items, includes: Reviewing the next due date Reviewing the last completed date Updating the status Placing orders for any tests/exams that are due Update Status or Compliance of an Orderable Item You can update the status of an orderable item using the Care Guidelines panel. Place an Order for an Orderable Guideline Item You can place an order for an orderable guideline using the Care Guidelines panel. Display Specific Active Guideline Item for a Patient

You can filter display items for a specific guideline that is active for a patient. You can filter what appears in the Care Guidelines panel to display only those items that are part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. To display only those item that is part of a specific guideline which is active for the patient, do one of the following: Select the link for guideline of interest in the left pane. Select the Show All link to display all guideline items active for the patient. The Care Guidelines panel refreshes to display only those items that are part of the selected guideline. Filter Displayed Guideline Item Using the Checkbox

You can filter displayed guideline item that is active for a patient using the checkbox. You can filter guideline items displayed in the Care Guidelines panel for the guidelines active for the patient using the checkboxes in the Show section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template. The Care Guidelines Paged View template opens. Expand the Care Guidelines panel. In the Show section, select one of the following checkboxes: Orderables Recommended care (medication) Recommended care (non-medication) By default, all Show checkboxes are selected. All active care guideline items appear on the panel. Care Guidelines Paged View If you opt out recommended care meds or non-meds on the Care Guidelines Setup practice template, the corresponding recommended care items do not apply. Filter Selected Guidelines in the Active Guidelines Grid

You can filter selected active care guidelines of a patient in the Active Guidelines panel. There are several ways to filter and display only selected guidelines in the Active Guidelines panel grid. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select the Care Guidelines link on any of the main template.The Care Guidelines template opens. Select Add/Update in the Care Guidelines panel.The Activate Care Guidelines template opens. In the Active Guidelines panel, to display only items due within a specific time period, select the Due within checkbox and then select the number of days, weeks, or months from the Show only items due within window. Activate Guidelines To display items for a selected guideline: Select the Display only selected guideline checkbox. Select the Condition from the list. Note: The grid do not display any items of a selected guideline that has not been activated for the patient.
