Document Edema Details

The Edema panel displays the edema information for the patient. The edema information can be added, edited, and removed on the PT Edema Details template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Objective template, navigate to the Edema panel. Click Add to launch the PT Edema Details template. PT Edema Details Enter the required details. Click Save. Document the Reason for Visit

The Reason for Visit panel is where the reason for visit, as described by the patient, is documented, along with an initial History of Present Illness (HPI). The provider should review reasons for visit, update if necessary, and complete HPI information. Reason for Visit Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. If the Introduction field contains text, review the content and make any necessary changes.The introduction appears as the first sentence of the visit note, and it can be edited for the individual patient. A typical introduction might contain the patient's age, gender, and the reason for visit. If the introduction field is blank, compose an introduction for the patient. If checked, click to clear the Do not Launch HPI checkbox. In the Reason for Visit data grid, click one of the reasons for visit entered previously to open the HPI template to add additional details. Edit a Row in the Wounds and Incisions Grid

Remove a Row in the Wounds and Incisions Grid

View the Wound Graph

Objective Template

The Objective template is used by the provider to review and update previously documented information about the patient such as surgical procedure dates, reason for visit, History of Present Illness (HPI), and vital signs. The provider then proceeds to document detailed information for the encounter, such as a physical exam, assessment and plan, observations, goals, treatment, edema, and wounds and incision care.
