The Telephone Communication template includes the Preview Document and Offline buttons. Both buttons relate directly to the Telephone Communication document. Open the Telephone Communications Template
The Telephone Communication template enables you to document risk indicators such as tobacco use, hypertension, diabetes, and coronary artery disease. Open the Templates module. On the Medical Records tab, select the Show option of All. Scroll down to highlight Telephone Communication and click OK. The Telephone Communication template opens. Select a Specialty. The Visit Type is set to Patient Communication. Managing the Telephone Call Template
You can record information gathered during a telephone conversation with the patient. The Telephone Call template and the Telephone Communication template enable you to record information gathered during a telephone conversation. You can use the Call/Communication sub-navigational link to open the Telephone Call template. Telephone Call Template
On the Telephone Call template, you can add multiple communication messages with the patient to a single encounter. You can see all messages in the grid and sort the grid to see all messages within a case. Use the Phone Call sub-navigation link to open the Telephone Call template. When you first open the Telephone Call template, the Date of Call and Time of Call fields display the current date and time. You can edit these entries. Document Calls and Other Patient Communication
Select the Contact Type field, and then select the type of contact from the picklist. Contact Type field and picklist If you communicate with someone other than the patient, use the Relationship field to document their relationship to the patient. If you select Patient, the application automatically fills in the name and telephone. If not, you must type entries into those fields. Select a follow-up urgency for the call, in the Urgency field. Complete any other information. Enter a description of the conversation/communication in the Comments field. Select Add Message. The message is added to the Messages grid. To send the message a task to the Provider on the encounter, select Task To Provider. To open the tasking window and choose the recipient, select Task To Staff. To generate a document that captures all communications that occurred on that encounter, select the Create Document icon. Select Save & Close in the workflow bar to close the template.
