Document Patient Education Provided in Patient’s Preferred Language and FDA Approved Details

You can indicate if the patient education provided is in the patient’s preferred language and FDA approved.

1. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
2. Open the Intake template.
3. Expand the Order panel.
4. Select the Patient Education link on the left.
5. In the Education material provided section, do the following:
   • To search for and select a patient education item, select the Patient Education button.
   • If the patient education provided is in the patient’s preferred language, select the In patient’s preferred language check box.
   • If the patient education provided is FDA approved, select the FDA approved check box.
6. Select Save.
