Create Template Default Sets in Run Time
The Quick Save icon enables you to create template default sets in various locations throughout the NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. This feature enables you to save selected data fields, check boxes, and options, under a unique template default set name.
- On any template with the Quick Save
icon, populate the data fields and then select the check boxes and options to be included in the default set.
- Click the Quick Save
icon.
The Save Template Defaults template opens.The All Specialties option is selected by default to make the template default set available for all specialties.
- If you want this template default set to be available only for the current specialty, select the Current Specialty Only option.
The Template to Save section enables you to select the templates to be included in the set. The Save All Templates option is selected by default to save all the templates accessed in the current encounter.
- To save the template that is currently open, click the Save Current Only option.
The current template name populates the field to the right.
- To save selected templates:
- Click the Select Templates to Save option.
The data field to the right becomes available.
- In the data field, select an item from the list of the templates to add to the current Quick Note.
- Click OK to return to the Save Template Defaults template with the name of the selected template in the data field.
- Repeat these steps to add more templates to the Quick Note.
Note: If you add the same template to the list twice, you must click the Clear button to clear the current contents of the field and re-select the templates to include in the default set.
- Click the Select Templates to Save option.
- In the Default Set Name field, enter a name for the default set.
NextGen Healthcare recommends using the following format for the default set name: <your initial> <Gender> <Default Name>.Note: It is recommended to use the provider's initials as part of the default set name. Entering the provider’s initials makes it easy to find the provider’s default sets on the Template Defaults Setup system template.
- Click Add.
The data appears in the Full Exam Quick Saves grid.
- Click Save & Close to close the Save Template Defaults template.
- Click the Quick Load
button to view the saved default set name in the list.
