Update Adult and Pediatric BMI Preferences

You can configure the Body Mass Index (BMI) alert preferences for all vital signs in the BMI section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the BMI grid, double-click the row that holds the alert to be modified.The Adult/Pediatric BMI Alerts template opens. Adult/Pediatric BMI Alerts Update the lower and upper age limits in the Age From and To fields, respectively. Select the BMI Unit field to select either Percentile or Value. Note: BMI unit is set to Percentile by default and the Percentile From and To fields are available to set those parameters. If you select Value in the BMI Unit field, the system automatically displays the Value From and To fields. If the patient is 20 years or older, only Value can be selected from the BMI Unit field. Update the Fever Alert Preferences

In the Fever section you can update the alert preferences for fever data in pediatric vital signs. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Fever grid, double-click a row that holds the alert to be modified.The Pediatric Fever Alert template opens. Pediatric Fever Alert window to update an alert depending on the age Select the age range and fever temperature for the patient.In runtime, if the temperature provided by a user is greater than the temperature entered in the Temperature field, an alert appears. In the Alert, enter the updated message. Note: NextGen Healthcare recommends limiting the alert message to 35 characters. Select the icon to update other alert preferences. Add the Length, Height, Weight and Head Circumference Related Alert Preferences

You can add the alert preferences for Weight, Length/Height, and Head Circumference vital signs based on age and percentile values. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Length/Height section, select the age and percentile ranges. You can update the respiratory rate alert preferences for pediatric vital signs in the Respiratory Rate section. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From File, select System \ Practice Template.The Select Template window opens. On the Practice tab, select the All option. Select Vital Signs Configuration, and then select OK.The Vital Signs Configuration practice template opens. In the Respiratory Rate grid, double-click the row that holds the alert to be modified. You can update the alert preferences for Length/Height, Weight, Head Circumference vital signs by modifying the values of age and percentile. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR.
