Add Clinical Narratives

You can add clinical narratives for clinical note types for the current encounter. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Clinical Narratives template, do one of the following: On the Templates module, select Clinical Narratives, and then select a note type. On the Documents and Letters template, in the Clinical Narratives (CCDA) section, select a note type. Clinical Narratives To enter your comments for consultation, discharge summary, imaging, laboratory report, pathology report, history and physical, and progress note types, do one of the following: Enter the details in the Narrative field. Select My Phrases and select the predefined comment. Note: The Resulted Orders panel is enabled only for the imaging, laboratory report, and pathology report note types to select a component and enter your comments. You can add only one clinical narrative for a specific component for the current encounter. However, you can update the clinical narrative for the component. By default, the Result

Manage Clinical Narratives

You can review, update, remove, or restore clinical narratives using the Clinical Narratives template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Templates module, select Clinical Narratives, and then select a note type. The Clinical Narratives template opens. Note: You can view the clinical narratives of the current encounter in the Current Visit Narratives grid. You can view the clinical narratives of all encounters in the All Narratives panel. To update a clinical narrative, do the following: Select the clinical narrative from the Current Visit Narratives grid. Edit the Narrative field. Select Update. To remove a clinical narrative, do the following: Select the clinical narrative from the Current Visit Narratives grid. Select Remove. To restore a removed clinical narrative, do the following: Select the Removed records option. Select the clinical narrative you want to restore from the Current Visit Narratives grid. Select Add. Generate Information from Document Library

You can generate patient information using the documents listed on the Documents and Letters template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the Intake template. Select the Document Library link.The Documents and Letters template opens. Note: You can go to the Document and Letters template using the Document Library link on the navigation bar. Clinical Narratives for Clinical Note Types You can manage various clinical narratives. Add Clinical Narratives You can add clinical narratives for clinical note types for the current encounter. Manage Clinical Narratives You can review, update, remove, or restore clinical narratives using the Clinical Narratives template. Viewing Clinical History and Notes Information

In the Clinical History/Notes tab of the patient's chart, you can view encounter and chart related information for the patient arranged in different topics. You can do the following on the Topics and Details section of the Clinical History/ Notes tab of the Patient Chart window: Select a topic under Clinical History to view any stored information Print a claim status report from Clinical History View existing recall plans for the patient Create a note or quick note for the patient's chart Attach any note or quick note to mail Seal a note or quick note View order notes for NextGen® Optical Management orders Clinical History/Notes Tab Creating Patient Notes You can use three types of patient notes to record formal or informal information for the patient. Clinical Narratives
