Sorting Assessments

You can update the order of the assessments for a patient in the Reorder Assessments template. The first 12 line items are available for billing, providers may want to ensure that certain assessments are included in the upper 12 rows of the list. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the specialty as Family Practice and the visit type as Office Visit, and then select My Plan. Select the Assessments tab and then select Sort. Reorder Assessments window displaying the existing sort order and new sort order of assessments The Reorder Assessments template opens. In the Existing Sort Order grid, select the row you want to be the first in the list. That selection becomes number 1 in the New Sort Order grid. Continue to select the available assessment rows until you have them in the required order. Optional: If you select a row in error, select Undo Last. To start over, select Undo All. Delete an Existing Assessment

CAUTION: Removing an item from the Today's Assessment grid does not resolve the diagnosis. The Add or Update Assessments template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates as the working assessment. If you remove one of multiple available assessments on the Add or Update Assessments template, you must select a new working assessment that carries over to the other templates that share the same working assessment. If you remove an assessment from the Add or Update Assessment template, you must add an assessment to carry over to other templates that share the same working assessment. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the Add or Update Assessment template, select the Assessments tab. In the Today's Assessment grid, select an assessment. Select Remove. Select Save & Close. Document Follow-up Details

You can enter follow-up appointment and disposition details on the Follow-up/Disposition template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In the Assessment / Plan panel, select the Follow Up button.The Follow-up/Disposition template opens. Follow-up/Disposition template The Follow-up/Disposition template is part of a group of templates that use the last assessment or diagnosis selected on any of the templates in the group as the working assessment. The application defaults to the current working assessment. If required, you can select another assessment, which becomes the new working assessment that carries forward to the other templates in the group. Do one of the following: Select the diagnosis in the grid. In the Follow-up section, select follow up along with other details and the suggested time for the follow-up visit. To select a new diagnosis or modify an existing assessment for the current patient, select Add/Edit Assessment. With the correct description selected

Sort Assessment Order

For billing or documentation purposes, it may be necessary to modify the order in which the assessments are displayed on your documentation. From the Assessment/Diagnosis panel, select Sort. The Reorder Assessments window opens. Reorder Assessments window From the Existing Sort Order grid, select the assessment to display first in the list. The assessment displays as #1 in the New Sort Order grid. From the Existing Sort Order grid, select the assessment to display next in the list. The assessment displays as #2 in the New Sort Order grid. Repeat step 3 until all assessments on the encounter display correctly in the list. Reorder Assessments window To move the remaining assessments without changing the order to the New Sort Order grid, select Move Remaining. Reorder Assessments

Assessments can be sorted into a preferred order using the Reorder Assessments template. Click the Sort button to open the Reorder Assessments template. reorder assessments template Start with the assessment that you want to be displayed in the list first.
