Allergy Search Filters

• Starts With - for allergies that start with the entered criteria
• Contains - for allergies that contain the entered criteria
• Ends With - for allergies that end with the entered criteria
• Ingredient - from the list of drug ingredients, such as Iodine or Bentonite
• Medication Name - from the list of allergies to medications, such as Cefazolin or Tylenol with Codeine
• Allergen Group - from the list of allergens, such as Lithium Derivatives or Ester type Anesthetics

NextGen® Enterprise EHR performs the search as you type. The results appear in the list of allergens.

The NextGen® Enterprise EHR database is displayed with a list of allergies provided by First Databank, a third-party provider. You can create a user-defined allergy if necessary. Speak with your System Administrator about adding specific user-defined allergies.
