Flag an Attachment that Includes Sensitive Information

You can flag an alert to an attachment that has sensitive information in the attachments section of the Referral Orders template. When you select an attachment in a sensitive encounter, this is indicated in the Attachments field on the Referrals Order and Referral Management templates with the following text: *Attachments exist – see Details (includes attachments from sensitive encounters)* When the Referrals document is generated, it prints out the text of the Attachments field. Sensitive information is not displayed on the document. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the Family Practice specialty and Office Visit visit type, and then select My Plan.The My Plan window opens. Document a Therapy Referral

You can select the Medications or Immunizations links at any time during the encounter to open the associated module. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the Family Practice specialty and Office Visit visit type, and then select My Plan.The My Plan window opens. Select the Referrals tab. The Referrals Order template opens. You can select the information icon to learn more about the Referrals Order template. On the Referrals tab, select the insurance provider. Enter the insurance policy number, and then select the referral type. In the To section, select Therapies/Rehabilitation, and do one of the following: Select a value from the resulting list. Select the upper blank row in the list to enter a therapy name in the field. Document Referrals for Durable Medical Equipment

You can document a referral to Durable Medical Equipment (DME) for a patient in the Referrals Order template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. Open the Intake template, select the Family Practice specialty and Office Visit visit type, and then select My Plan.The My Plan window opens. Select the Referrals tab. The Referrals Order template opens. You can select the information icon to learn more about the Referrals Order template. On the Referrals tab, select the insurance provider. Enter the insurance policy number, and then select the referral type. In the To section, select DME. In Specialty/Therapy/DME, select a service item from the list. You can open the Referrals Order template in various way Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP tab, in the Assessment / Plan panel, select Referrals in the navigation bar. On the Care Coordination Home template, in the Referral History section, select Add. Document Referrals

You can document a referral to a specialty, obstetrics, and therapy for a patient in the Referrals Order template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open a patient's record, and then open an encounter. You can use links and buttons on the Referrals Order template to complete the workflow easily. Links, Checboxes, Fields Description Address Detail Verifies and/or updates the referred to and referred by contact information. Internal referral For internal communications. Clinical information/ Comments Documents additional details. Attachments Opens the available attachment details. Instructions Instructions that you provided to the patient. Summary of Care/Record sent Indicates that the records are sent.
