Edit Vital Signs

You can edit the vital signs details entered during the intake process, in the Vital Signs panel on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. In Vital Signs, select the vital sign record that you want to edit and select Edit. Note: If you need to update a vital sign, ensure that you are editing the required record, as multiple vital signs can be entered for the encounter. The Vital Signs template opens. Review of Vital Signs on the SOAP Template

You can review and update a patient's vitals signs documented by the intake staff, in the Vital Signs panel on the SOAP template. You can add multiple vital signs for a patient during an encounter. The Vital Signs panel displays the most recent value for each vital sign. Options for Vital Signs The Add button opens the age specific vital signs template based on the patient age and the Pediatric Age configuration on the Practice Configuration template. Document Vital Signs

The provider reviews the vital signs added by the Intake staff on the Intake template and makes the applicable changes. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP template, expand the Vital Signs panel. Vital Signs Select Add. The age-specific vital signs template opens. Enter the necessary details on the template. Select Save. Note: Clear For Add is used to clear the existing data and add data. Select Close. To remove a record from the grid in the Vital Signs panel, select a record, and select Remove. Open the Vital Signs Template

You can document a patient's vital signs details on the Vital Signs template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. To open the Templates module on a patient encounter, do one of the following: On the Categories or Encounter History tab, select Open Template. On Top Toolbar, select Templates. On the main menu, select File > New > Template. The Select Template window opens. Open the Intake template. In the Vital Signs panel, select Add.The Adult Vital Signs template opens. Add Cardiac Orders on the SOAP Template

You can add Cardiac orders on the SOAP template. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Open the SOAP template. Click the Cardiac Orders panel. Cardiac Orders Panel Click the appropriate button for order type. For example, to order lab tests, click Labs. Document the information. Click Add. Select the task recipients and click Add. Edit a Reason for Visit on the SOAP Template

You can edit existing reasons for visits on the SOAP template. After the intake staff documents the patient's reasons for visit, you can edit the reasons for visit on the SOAP template to document additional details. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. On the SOAP template, expand the Reason for Visit panel. To edit a reason for visit, do the following: Select the HPI that you want to edit in the Reason for Visit grid. The corresponding HPI template opens. Edit the details in the HPI template. Select Save & Close.
