Add the Safe Surgery Timeout Elements

The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template allows you to configure baseline safe surgery timeout elements. For more information on the Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Procedure Timeout Configuration Practice Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine.

  1. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template.
    The Select Template window opens.
  2. Select the Practice tab.
  3. In the Show section, select the All option.
    A list of practice templates opens.
  4. Select Procedure Timeout Configuration.
    The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template opens with the list of specialties.

  5. Select a specialty from the list.
  6. Select Panel and select the template.
  7. In Timeout element, enter the baseline timeout elements for the panel selected in the Panel field.
  8. Select Add.
    The timeout element appears in the grid.
  9. To sort the timeout elements in the grid, select a row in the grid and select the up or down arrow above the grid.
  10. To remove a timeout element from the grid, select a row in the grid and select Remove.
