Update the Status of Timeout Elements on the Intra-Procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout 2 Panel

The Intra-procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout 2 panel includes a list of timeout elements to be completed as part of intra-procedure process. Intra-procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout 2 To change the status of the timeout element, perform one of the steps as described below: Completed Select a timeout element and the status of the timeout element appears as Completed. To clear the status, select the timeout element two times. Not Applicable Select a timeout element two times and the status of the timeout element appears as Not Applicable. To clear the status, select the timeout element again. Completed to Not Applicable Select the timeout element with the status as Completed and the status of the timeout element changes to Not Applicable. After documenting the status of the timeout elements, select the Timeout completed and documented with all team members present checkbox.The system displays the current user name logged onto the system, date, and current system time in the C

Document Status of the Pre-Procedure Safe Surgery Checklist Elements

Expand the Pre-procedure Safe Surgery Checklist/Timeout panel in the ASC - Intake template. To change the status of the timeout element, perform one of the following steps: To document a status of Completed, select a timeout element. To document a status of Not Applicable, double-click the timeout element. To clear a Not Applicable status, select the timeout element with a Not Applicable status. To change the status from Completed to Not Applicable, select the timeout element with a Completed status. The status changes to Not Applicable. Move second statement to List Continue. After documenting the status of the timeout elements, select Timeout completed and documented with all team members present. The system appears the Completed by, Date, and Time fields with current user logged onto the system, today's date, and current system time in the respective fields. ASC - Intraprocedure Template

The ASC -Intraprocedure template allows the intra-procedure nurse to review the IV, vital signs, Aldrete score, procedure orders documented by the pre-procedure nurse on the ASC - Preprocedure template. The intra-procedure nurse can document the intra-procedure safe surgery details, procedure equipment details, and add any additional personnel administering the procedure. The Allergies link at the top of the ASC - Intraprocedure template opens the Allergies module that includes the allergy information documented in the Procedure Preadmission visit type, and on the ASC - Intake template in the Procedure visit type. Add the Safe Surgery Timeout Elements

The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template allows you to configure baseline safe surgery timeout elements. For more information on the Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Procedure Timeout Configuration Practice Template for NextGen® Adaptive Content Engine. From the File menu, select System\Practice Template. The Select Template window opens. Select the Practice tab. In the Show section, select the All option.A list of practice templates opens. Select Procedure Timeout Configuration. The Procedure Timeout Configuration practice template opens with the list of specialties. Procedure Timeout Configuration Select a specialty from the list.
