Add Obstetric Problems

You can add a patient's obstetric problems to the Problems module and also move a problem to today’s assessment.

On the OB Problem Add template, you can add or update a patient’s obstetric (OB) problems, submit a problem to the Problems module, and move a problem to today’s assessment. The Associate Meds link allows you to view the active medications and associated diagnoses and update the diagnoses for an active medication.

  1. On the Prenatal Detail template, expand the OB Problems panel and select Add/Update.
    The OB Problem Add template opens.
  2. Select Add New.
    A diagnoses window opens displaying a list of common OB problems.
  3. Search for and select the OB problem.
    The Diagnosis description field on the OB Problem Add template is filled with the selected diagnosis.
  4. Select the assessment status and priority.
  5. To add the current diagnosis to the Today’s Assessment grid, select Add to Assessments.
  6. To add the OB problem to the problems module, select Add to Problems Module, and on the Select Mapped SNOMED Code window, select the SNOMED code.
  7. To enter additional notes, select 'Date Stamp' Note, and then enter your notes.
  8. Select Add/Update.
    The problem is added to the OB Problems pane on the left.
