Change the Appearance of Findings

When you add a new finding, the default image tool used to mark the finding on the GET image is Marker and the default color is red. You can change either of these settings. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Click the Findings tab. Select a finding from the Findings list.The properties for the selected finding appear in the Properties pane. Click Drawing Tool and then click the ellipsis button.The Drawing Tool Settings window opens showing the default or current drawing tool settings. To use a different tool than the default, click the Drawing Tool list and select a drawing tool. Note: The best practice is to use the Marker tool. To use a different marker tool color than the default, click the Tool Color list and select the color. Click OK. Click Save and click Close. Configure a Finding for the Derm_Exam Profile

Before you begin To configure a new finding, ensure that you have created a new finding. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Select the Profiles tab. In the Profiles pane select derm_exam. The properties for the derm_exam profile appear in the Properties pane. In Settings, select Findings and then select the ellipsis button. The derm_exam window opens and displays the defined findings for the profile in the Members pane. The currently used findings columns are indicated by a check. To add, remove, or change the order of the finding, do one of the following: To add a finding to the profile, locate the finding and select the check box next to it. To remove a finding, clear the check box. To change the order of the findings, select a finding and use the up and down arrows to move the finding. Add a Reason for Visit to the GET

You may find that you have reasons for visit that require a corresponding finding in GET. After you have added a reason for visit, you must configure it to add exam tools and findings. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Click the Reasons for Visit tab. Click Add. A New Reason for Visit entry appears at the top of the Reasons for Visit list and the Properties pane shows the default values for new reason for visit. Click Name and type the name of the new reason for visit. Ensure that the name you specify matches precisely the name of the reason for visit on the Intake template. Add Exam Tools in the GET

On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Click the Exam Tools tab. Click Add. A New Exam Tool entry appears at the top of the Findings list and the Properties pane shows the default values for an exam tool. Click Name and replace the default value with the name of the exam tool. The name entered appears as an image tab on the GET. Click the Image Name list and select the image. Note: Ensure that you have placed the image in the Template Image Path directory. Click the Image Sex list and select the value. Note: The image only appears for patients of the selected sex. Template Default for a Finding

The Graphical Exam Tool is delivered with a complete set of findings-based template defaults to use with the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (Full Skin Exam) template. The defaults enable you to fill the template with predefined data relevant to the specific finding with a single click. You can modify the template defaults to meet your practice's specific need. In addition, if you add additional findings to the GET, you can create template defaults for those findings. Creating at least one template default for a GET finding automatically fills the Dermatology Quick Exams - PE (Full Skin Exam) template with the custom-created template information when you click the grid entry for that finding. When you create two or more template defaults for a specific finding, the system launches a picklist of the template default names so you can decide which template to use. Add a Procedure to the GET

Add the procedure to the appropriate findings in the derm_exam profile, so you can use that procedure with the tool. On the GET template, select the icon. The Options and Setting menu opens. From the menu, select Settings. The Graphical Exam Tool -Settings window opens. Click the Procedure tab. The Procedures pane lists all the procedures currently defined for the GET. Click Add. A New Procedures entry appears at the top of the Procedures list and the Properties pane displays the default values for the procedure. Click Name and type the name of the procedure.
