, select the
Visits
icon from the main menu.
Select the plus
on the bottom left side of the page.
Search for a patient using the first name, last name, and date of birth.
Select the patient from the search results.
Confirm or update the patient’s email address and mobile phone number, as necessary.
Updates are reflected in
NextGen® Enterprise EHR

Schedule Non-Integrated On-Demand Virtual Visits
If you cannot find a patient while trying to schedule an on-demand visit or if locations are not properly configured, you can proceed by scheduling a non-integrated on-demand visit. The visit is then scheduled in NextGen Virtual Visits™ but does not flow into NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and requires reconciliation. Within NextGen Virtual Visits™, select the VisitsVisits icon icon from the main menu. Select the plus Plus icon on the bottom left side of the page. On the Search for a patient window, enter the patient's first name, last name, and date of birth, and then select Search. When you are redirected to set up a non-integrated on-demand visit, confirm that the patient details you previously entered are correct.A No Patient Found message appears. Select Continue. In the How should the patient receive their visit link? area, enter the patient’s email address, mobile phone number, or both, and then select Continue. Track Reconciliation of Non-Integrated On-Demand Virtual Visits in NextGen® Enterprise EHR
If you choose to enter non-integrated on-demand appointments back into NextGen® Enterprise EHR manually, you can track which appointments you have reconciled. Tip: You can use the Reconciliation filter in the Visits panel to quickly find visits that have not been reconciled. After you manually enter a non-integrated on-demand visit into NextGen® Enterprise EHR, return to NextGen Virtual Visits™. Within NextGen Virtual Visits™, select the VisitsVisits icon icon from the main menu. Select the Completed tab in your visit list. Select a completed visit, and then select Reconcile. Scheduling On-Demand Virtual Visits
Scheduling on-demand visits is optional and requires setup before use. When it is set up, support and scheduled users can schedule this kind of visit. You can use on-demand visits to handle on-the-fly appointments that arise after-hours or while you are on call, when you cannot easily access appointment scheduling in your system. You can initiate a virtual visit without having to schedule an appointment in NextGen® Enterprise PM orNextGen® Enterprise EHR. Depending on your system configuration, the visit may also automatically flow back into NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. There are two types of on-demand visits: Integrated: An integrated on-demand virtual visit automatically flows back into NextGen® Enterprise PM and NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Non-integrated: A non-integrated on-demand virtual visit occurs when you cannot find the patient when you search the system. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. From the File menu, select New and then select Schedule On Demand NextGen Virtual Visit. NextGen Virtual Visits™ will open in a new tab. Note: You need to use Chrome™ or Firefox® as default browsers and ensure production URL for NextGen Virtual Visits™ is correctly maintained in System Administrator to schedule the virtual visits. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the latest System Administrator Guide for NextGen® Enterprise. Select the plus icon in NextGen Virtual Visits™, and do one of the following: Select Patient Search to schedule virtual visits for existing patients. Select Quick Add to schedule virtual visits for new patients.
