Document Administration Details for the Patient's Residential Services

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Residential Administration (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Residential Administration (BH) template from your Packet Navigation or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. Document the information about the patient's dependents. Document the Clinician's Shift Notes

You can document three separate shifts per day using the Shift 1, Shift 2, and Shift 3 tabs within the Residential Administration (BH) template. You can select each tab to open the corresponding templates for documenting each shift. Each section or tab includes the same functionality. The entered goals, objectives, and interventions are specific to each shift and do not carry over from the previous shift template. All documentation entered on the shift note for the patient is consolidated into one note that covers all three shifts. All three shifts should occur within a 24-hour period. Select Residential Discharge Summary (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Residential Discharge Summary (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. Document the Medication Prescriber Details for the Patient
