Document the Medication Prescriber Details for the Patient

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select MAR Prescribers (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the MAR Prescribers (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. Select the medication from the active list and update the stop dates. Before you begin You must have additional security rights assigned in System Administrator to add or modify the client's medication inventory. If you do not have security rights to access the Patient Medication Inventory (BH) window, contact your practice administrator. Monitoring the Patient's Medication Administrations

The Medication Administration Record (MAR) template set consists of three main templates: MAR Configuration (BH) template enables you to configure medication dose times, floor level medication inventory, and medication taper schedules. MAR Administration (BH) template is client-specific and where you set up and modify client medication administration schedules, document medication administration, track medication administration history, and manage medication inventory for a client. MAR Prescribers (BH) template enables providers to set stop dates and times for medications, stop medication schedules and view medication administration history. Open an MAR Scheduled Medications by Location Crystal Report

In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select File > Reports > Crystal reports. The Report Dialog window opens. Expand All encounters for All patients, and select Med Management Location. Select Preview. The Enter Parameter Values window opens. Select the location name and enter a date to filter the result. Select OK. The Med Management Location report opens. Add a Medication Dose

The picklist on the MAR Administration (BH) template has a 1X Now option. This value is hardcoded and you cannot configure or remove the value. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. Select File > System \ Practice Template. The Select Template window opens with the system-related templates. Select the Practice tab, and then select All. A list of all the practice templates appears. Select MAR Configuration (BH), and then select OK. The MAR Configuration (BH) template opens. Expand the Medication Dose Times panel. In Med Dose (Sig), enter a name for the medication dose. Note: This can be any description up to 20 characters in length. In the Med Time fields, enter the times for the doses. Note: You can specify up to six medication dose times. Optional: To clear the fields, select Clear All. Select Add. Document Crisis Treatment Plan Details

Select Crisis Treatment Plan (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Crisis Treatment Plan (BH) template from your Packet Navigation or you can open the template from the Templates module. In the Time Entry Navigation sidebar, select Billing Time Entry, and then enter the start time. Note: You can select the current time or enter the time manually.
