.

window opens.
Enter program, location, provider, open date, time, and payer information.
If the patient has more than one payer, add each one.
Note:
You must complete the
Program

fields before saving a program.

Document Court-Ordered Treatment
In NextGen® Enterprise EHR, select Open Template for an encounter. The Select Template window opens. Select the Demographics tab. Select All, and then select Demographics (BH). The Demographics (BH) template opens. From the COT section on the Programs/COT/Treatment Adherence panel, enter information in the MH, COT Type, Start Date, and End Date fields. To indicate the current status, select the Client is currently in COT checkbox. Optional: To clear the fields, select Cl. Select Add. The court-ordered treatment (COT) is displayed in the grid. Managing Programs, COT, and Treatment Adherence Information
You can select a Level of Care that is set up in the BH Foundation DBPicklist. This data is not used anywhere else in NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. The Program field on the tis_programs_hx window retrieves data from the Program Master File in File Maintenance. After a patient is enrolled in one or more programs, the programs are listed in the Program name field throughout the NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite template set. Your practice can also use the program information for reporting and billing purposes. Note: You can configure programs in File Maintenance > Master File before using the Demographics (BH) template. Program Configuration
You can also configure the following program-related options to help your clinical process: Set program-specific Packet Navigation. Set default values for Specialty and Visit Type by program. Display the Specialty and Visit Type fields on templates by program. Make payer details as required during the client's program enrollment. Set program-specific Goals and Objectives in the patient's ISP. When a new encounter is created, the Select a Program window displays all programs the client is enrolled in. The program list displays only the current enrollment of clients on the date of the selected encounter. If a program is not available in the picklist, you must add a program for the client or ensure the existing program's open and close dates coincide with the selected encounter date. After selecting a program, the encounter is automatically updated based on your practice and program configurations. Modify a Program Enrollment
You can modify a patient's program enrollment if needed from the Patient Chart in NextGen® Enterprise PM. Access the Patient Chart. Select the Patient Information tab, and then the Programs sub-tab. Existing program enrollments for the patient are listed. To modify a program enrollment, select it from the list and then do one of the following: Select Open Menu and then select Open. Right-click and then select Open. Double-click to open the enrollment. The [Patient Name] - Program Enrollment window opens. The Program Category, Program and Program Enrollment Date fields are disabled and cannot be modified. Program Enrollment window In the Program Primary Provider field, select the provider responsible for directing and managing the patient's program, if applicable. The primary provider may or may not render services under the program. In the Program Location field, select a location for the program.
