After you mark the service(s) in error, you can submit new charges, if necessary. The provider may need to re-enter start time and end time, and select the Service Codes to resubmit the charges.
- From the client’s encounter, open the template that has the erroneous charge submitted.
- Navigate to the Charges panel.
Note: If you are using the Finalize template, navigate to the Behavioral Health Billing panel.
- In the Charge grid, select the service code.
- Select Billed in Error.
If a Billed in Error item requires further review, an alert message appears.
Note: The E&M charges entered from the Finalize (BH) > Evaluation and Management panel may not be marked Billed in Error.
- To view charges that were marked as Billed in Error on this template, select the Billed in Error filter option.
You can see the charge has a
Y indicator in the
Bill Error column. If the charge needs further review, a
Y indicator also displays in the
Review column.
- To mark additional charges as Billed in Error, repeat steps 3 and 4 for each charge.
- To generate the document to reflect the correction, select Generate Document.
