Document the Clinician's Shift Notes

You can document three separate shifts per day using the Shift 1, Shift 2, and Shift 3 tabs within the Residential Administration (BH) template. You can select each tab to open the corresponding templates for documenting each shift. Each section or tab includes the same functionality. The entered goals, objectives, and interventions are specific to each shift and do not carry over from the previous shift template. All documentation entered on the shift note for the patient is consolidated into one note that covers all three shifts. All three shifts should occur within a 24-hour period. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Residential Shift Note (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Residential Shift Note (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. Document the Medication Prescriber Details for the Patient

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select MAR Prescribers (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the MAR Prescribers (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select the program, specialty, and visit type. Note: Only programs that the patient is actively enrolled in appear in the list. You can select <No Program> to create an encounter without a program, and then add the program later. Select the medication from the active list and update the stop dates. Document Group Medication Administration

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Templates. Select File > System \ Practice Template. Note: You can configure your Packet Navigation (BH) template to include a link to open the Med Management Location (BH) template. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Select All. The list of all the system templates appears. Select Med Management Location (BH), and then select OK. The Location and Date fields are automatically filled with the location selected at the top of your NextGen® Enterprise EHR window and today's date. If necessary, update the required Location or Date fields. To search for medication schedules, based on the specific dosing time or the patient's last name, enter information in the Time and Last Name fields. Select Filter. MAR Configuration

You need additional security rights to add or modify the client's medication inventory. Security rights are set up in System Administrator. You must contact your system administrator if you do not have security rights to open the Floor Medication Inventory (BH) window.
