Document the Patient's Psychiatric Notes

The Psych Notes Popup window is only accessible from a packet or navigation tabs. Open the Packet Navigation template, and then select the Psych Note Details link. Note: You can open the Psych Note Popup template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. In the Individuals Present panel, document the details of the individuals present during the assessment. Select whether the patient is an established patient or a new patient. Document the Patient's Initial Psychiatric Evaluation Summary

As a psychiatrist, nurse practitioner (NPP), or other behavioral health professional, you can document an initial psychiatric assessment of the patient. It is important to note that you can prescribe medications during the psychiatric evaluation. Also, the EM Coding button opens the Finalize template, which enables you to submit billing codes. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Psych Eval (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Psych Eval (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. Document the Patient's Referrals for Psychiatric Rehabilitation

You can document referrals, treatment recommendations, assessed needs, and discharge planning for psychiatric rehabilitation patients. You can document the directed care plan and services that are provided as part of the psychiatric rehabilitation services. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Rehab Referral (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Rehab Referral (BH) template from your Packet Navigation,or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Document the Patient's Psychiatric Progress Note

The EM Coding button launches the Finalize template, which enables you to submit billing codes. Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. Document NextGen® Ambient Assist Narrative Information

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR. For an encounter, select Open Template. The Select Template window opens. Select All, and then select Psych Mobile (BH). The Psych Mobile (BH) template opens. Select Program, Specialty, and Visit Type. Expand the NextGen® Ambient Assist narrative panels, and enter details. You can select the My Phrases link to select from commonly used phrases. Note: The narrative data from the Assessment and Mental Status fields on the NGMobileDictation template appears in the Assessment/Diagnosis and Mental Status Exam panels respectively on the Psych Mobile (BH) template for the first time the template is open.
