Generate the Missing Billing Report

Before you begin You must configure this report prior to generating this file for the first time. You can generate a reporting listing the charges that were posted from a NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite billable template but were never posted to the charges table in NextGen® Enterprise EHR. The report is run for all patient encounters and can be run for all providers or filtered for a selected provider. This report is helpful to find instances when there is an error between the billing template and the procedure module, and the chanrge is not processed properly into NextGen® Enterprise PM. It does not consider the charges that are voided or marked as voided or billed-in-error chanrges. From the File menu, select Reports and then Crystal Reports. Expand the All encounters for All Patient section. Select Missing Billing for All. Select Preview. Select a provider or ***All Provider***. Select OK. The report opens. Generate the Templates with No Documentation Report

You can generate a report indicating when a NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite billing template has been started and saved to an encounter but no document has been saved to the encounter. The Templates with No Documentation report is run for all patient encounters and can be run for all providers or filtered for a selected provider. Note: You must configure this report prior to generating the file for the first time. From the File menu, select Reports and then Crystal Reports. Expand the All encounters for All Patient section. Charges

You use the Charges panel to bill for services rendered during the encounter. Your practice can configure SIM codes to be available based on practice, payer/contract, location, licensure, template name in the BH Foundation Configuration template. For more information, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. If the service will not be billed, you can select the No Billing for Service checkbox. With the checkbox selected, you can skip the billing fields and “No Billing for Service” displays on the generated document. The Provider and Credential fields are read-only fields. The Provider field displays the name of the provider the current user is associated to in System Administrator. A provider with the relationship of Self has their own name displaying in the Provider field. A user associated to a provider in System Administrator has the associated provider’s name displaying. Submit a Charge for Group Visit

Use the Charges panel to bill for services rendered during the encounter. From the Group section of the Charges panel, enter the Start time and End time for the group. To carry the Start time and End time forward to each client, select Copy Forward. From the Individual section of the Charges panel, make any updates to the Start Time and End Time specific to the client. For example, if the Group Start time was 6:00 PM but the client arrived at 6:10 PM, you can update the Individual Start Time to 6:10 PM. Note: If the end time is earlier than the start time, an Alert appears prompting you to re-enter the start/stop time. This also occurs if the total duration is more than 12 hours. Select the Service Code field and then select a service code. The Units field display based on the service code selected. Complete Billing

When completing the ART Meeting Note, CFT Meeting Note, or Staffing Note templates, you use the Billing panel to submit your charges. To indicate the service is not billable, select No Billing for Service checkbox. Note: You can skip the remaining steps. To document Interpreter, Cultural, Counseling Details, select the respective link. In the Assigned Provider field, select a provider’s name from the list and then select Add. The providers name displays in the grid. Billing panel Enter a Start Time and End Time. The Duration field fills in. The Start and End buttons are available here and on the Program Name panel in the Progress Note tab. The values documented in either place are immediately reflected in the same fields on the other section. Entered times can be modified by clicking in the field. If desired, you can document the time values at a later date. It is important to follow the established format: 00:00 AM or PM. To finalize billing, navigate to the Behavioral health billing section. For the End time field, do one of the following: Click the clock clock icon for start and end button to enter the current time. Click the field to type the time that marked the end of the exam.
