Document the Patient's Residential Discharge Summary

Open NextGen® Enterprise EHR, and then in Patient History, select Open Templates. The Select Template window opens. On the Medical Records tab, select All. Select Residential Discharge Summary (BH), and then select OK. Note: You can open the Residential Discharge Summary (BH) template from your Packet Navigation, or from the Templates module. For more information on configuring Packet Navigation, go to NextGen Healthcare Success Community, and download the Configuration Guide for NextGen® Behavioral Health Suite. Monitoring the Patient's Medication Administrations

The Medication Administration Record (MAR) template set consists of three main templates: MAR Configuration (BH) template enables you to configure medication dose times, floor level medication inventory, and medication taper schedules. Document the Patient's Detoxification Status

You can obtain information regarding how to use the template or sections of the template by selecting the information icon or the How to Use This Template link. Document a Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale

Open the Detoxification Monitoring (BH) template, and then expand the COWS and CIWA Assessments panel. COWS and CIWA Assessment Panel To start a new order, select Start New Detoxification Monitoring. If completing an assessment for a current order, you must not Start New Detoxification Monitoring. The initial score is cleared for a new treatment series. Select the COWS link. The Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) window opens. By default, opiate detoxification appears in Reason for this assessment. COWS window Answer all the questions. The system calculates the Total score. The Performed Date, Hr, Min, and Performed by default to the current date, time, and user logged in. Note: All questions must be answered for a total score to be calculated. If all questions are not answered, the template saves the answers, but the total score is not calculated.
