Complete Care Guideline by Custom Service Code Mapping

In File Maintenance, open the Service Items Library. Create a code in the Service Item Library. In the Orderable Test Setup (Protocols) panel on the Care Guidelines Setup template, add the custom service code to the protocol. Orderable Test Setup (Protocols) panel Select Add. Define Protocols for Care Guidelines

Open the Care Guidelines Setup template, and then expand the Orderable Tests Setup (Protocols) panel. Select the condition and reason from the available list. The grid displays the list for the selected condition and reason. In the Guideline/Test type field, select a type from the ActClasses picklist. For a test, select Office Procedures. Note: You must select Office Procedures when you create BH Protocols. In the Guideline/Test name field, select the SIM code from the picklist. In the Guideline/Test code field, select the applicable code. In the Apply to field, select M (for males), F (for females), or O (to apply to all). Optional: Add Interval, Start, and Stop age. Manually Complete Care Guidelines

Open NextGen Enterprise EHR. Open an encounter for a patient record. Select the Care Guidelines link. The Care Guidelines Paged View window opens. Select the checkbox and fill in any required fields. In the Status field, select a status from the list. Note: Based on the care guideline, some additional information may be required. In the Last Completed field, enter the end date. Configure Coded Results Mapping for Behavioral Health Protocol

Identify a field on a template that indicates the protocol is complete.For example, selecting the Client received copy of this plan checkbox on the Integrated Service Plan (BH) template can indicate a completed protocol for the ISP. Client received copy of this plan check box Open the Coded Results Mapping practice template. Enter Source Table and Source Field. In Field Value, enter the value for complete or type 1 for Yes. In Code System, select an item from the picklist. In Code Value, type the code value. Select Add.You can activate the guideline for the client in Care Guidelines. Care Guideline Configuration for BH Protocols

You can configure protocols, such as Comprehensive assessment and Individual Service Plan, to update the next due date. You must configure Protocols before you can activate a Protocol for a client. Care Guidelines are configured on the Care Guidelines Setup practice template. You can select the Care Guidelines link on the template header to open the Care Guidelines window. Care Guidelines link Define Care Guideline Reasons You can define the care guideline protocols for BH Suite to be gender, age, or diagnosis-specific. Define Protocols for Care Guidelines You can set up a protocol for a guideline. You can also add a specific procedure code that satisfies the protocol. Configure Equivalent and Alternative Protocols for Care Guidelines You can configure equivalent and alternative codes for care guidelines added for BH protocols. Update Encounter Coded Data

From the client’s chart, complete the field your agency previously configured to fulfill the guideline. Open the Update Encounter Coded Data template. Select Run. Note: The CQM results appear. But, you can select Cancel or Save and Close as this is not applicable to this scenario. Select Save & Close.
