Assign Bed Placement Details

You can document the details of a family's foster placement.

1. Open the CW Demographics (BH) template.
2. Expand the Bed Placement panel.
3. Select a row in the grid for the bed you need to assign.
   The details of the record appear in the respective fields, and the Update button is enabled.

   

   Note: Select Cl to delete the data from all fields.
4. Select First Name or Last Name.
   The Family Unit Information window opens.

   Note: The foster child must be added to the Family Unit before assigning a bed.
5. Select the foster child from the Family Unit, and select OK.
   Details of the foster child and Bed Status are filled in.

   Note: When the status of the bed is changed to Open, all person-related data are removed from the respective fields. That bed is then available for a new foster placement.
6. Enter any additional details in Status Comments.
7. Select Update.
   The grid displays the updated details.
8. To remove a foster child placement, change the Bed Status value to Open, and select Update.
9. To hold the bed for future assignments, change the Bed Status value to Bed Hold, and select Update.
   Note: A foster child can be assigned to a bed when the bed status is Bed Hold.
