An overview of Cures and the Mirth® Connect extensions required to comply with Cures certification criteria.
ONC Health IT Certification promotes transparency, modern standards, and enhanced health IT capabilities by fostering innovation in the health care technology ecosystem to deliver better information to patients, clinicians, and other users.
Mirth® Connect by NextGen Healthcare has received ONC Heath IT Certification in the areas described in this section.
The Health IT modules are compliant with the ONC Certification Criteria for Health IT and has been certified by an ONC-ACB in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Mandatory Disclosure:Mirth® Connect Cure Extensions use a tiered annual subscription bundle (Gold, and Platinum). These standardized bundles benefit customers using our cost-benefit model defined as a "per server installation" of the extensions in production with attributed 3 non-production instances. In comparison, other integration services that charge based on the total number of interfaces and qualified message counts.
Certified functionality requires extensions that are available through the Gold and Platinum tiers.
This document includes information about required extensions, features in Mirth® Connect that support certified functionality, and required actions by the user as they apply to each function.
The use of the below Mirth® Connect extensions is required to comply with certification:
Cures Certification Support: to audit tampering of events.
Enhancement Bundle: allows users to search for messages across multiple channels and export results.
Multi-Factor Authentication: adds a layer of security with the option to use Duo or TOTP authentication methods.
Role-Based Access Control: an administrator uses this extension to create roles and assign roles to users. Roles restrict system access to authorized users based on their role within the organization.
SSL Manager: used to enable and configure certificate-based SSL connectivity.
