Administrator Launcher Connection Settings
The Administrator Launcher includes connection settings that you can modify for one or more Mirth® Connect servers.
The left side of the window displays all of your currently saved connections.
- Select the connection name to choose the connection.
- Double-click the connection to edit the name.
- Select the icon next to the connection name to immediately open the Administrator.
On the right side of the window, the current connection settings appear:

Address | N/A | The address of your Mirth® Connect server. This may be either the plain HTTP (8080) or HTTPS (8443) address. |
Java Home | Bundled | The Administrator Launcher comes bundled with JRE 17.

Custom JavaFX Home | N/A | Open using a custom JavaFX installation location that you specify. |
Max Heap Size | 512m | The maximum amount of memory to allocate for the Administrator Java virtual machine. |
Show Java Console | No | Select Yes to have a separate console window open along with the Administrator. You can use this console to see exception stack-traces and other system information. |
Icon | N/A | Use the icon to help you quickly identify different connections on the left side of the window. |
SSL Protocols | Default | The SSL protocols to use when connecting to the server. |
SSL Cipher Suites | Default | The SSL cipher suites to use when connecting to the server. |
Use Legacy DH Settings | No | Select Yes to use the Diffie-Hellman settings. This setting enables smaller key sizes, which might be needed when using or connecting to 2.x versions of Mirth® Connect. |
In the lower part of the window, the following buttons appear:
- New: to set up a new connection.
- Save: to save the currently selected connection.
- Save as: to set up a new connection using the settings currently displayed.
- Delete: to remove the currently selected connection.
You can also enable the Close this window after launching button to close the Launcher Interface after establishing the connection.
