About the Mirth® Connect Administrator Launcher

You can use the Administrator graphical user interface (GUI) to log on to a Mirth® Connect server and create, modify, and deploy channels. In previous versions, this GUI opened on your local desktop with Java Web Start technology. However, Java 11 and later versions have completely removed Java Web Start technology. The Administrator Launcher is a replacement for Java Web Start technology, and it can be used to open the Administrator on your local desktop for any version of Mirth® Connect you are using or any Java version.

Mirth® Connect Administrator Overview

The Mirth® Connect Administrator is used to develop and manage all channels and can be run anywhere in relation to the Mirth® Connect server. The Mirth® Connect Administrator consists of menus and view panels that change depending on the task (for example, Dashboard, Channel, Edit Channel, Settings). Note: You no longer need to use Java Web Start. NextGen Healthcare has released a new Administrator Launcher that you can use instead. See Administrator Launcher Overview. Download the Administrator Launcher You must download the Administrator Launcher to use it to open the Administrator. Launch the Administrator After you download the Administrator Launcher, you can log on to the Mirth® Connect Administrator. Log On Use the Mirth® Connect Login window to authenticate yourself and log on to the Administrator. Launch the Administrator

After you download the Administrator Launcher, you can perform the following steps to launch and log on to the Mirth® Connect Administrator. Using the Server Manager: On Windows/Linux, you can launch the Mirth® Connect Administrator using the Administrator button in the bottom-left corner of the Mirth® Connect Server Manager - Server page. Using the launch web page: Open a web browser and navigate to your launch page. This is usually http://localhost:8080 or https://localhost:8443, though you may need to edit the IP or port depending on your settings. You must download the Administrator Launcher to use it to open the Administrator. Open a web browser and navigate to your launch page. This is usually http://localhost:8080 or https://localhost:8443, though you may need to edit the IP or port depending on your settings. Select the cog icon next to the Download Administrator Launcher button. Choose the operating system for your local machine that you want to install the Administrator Launcher on. Mirth® Connect Administrator

The Mirth® Connect Administrator is the graphical user interface (GUI) that is used to log on to a Mirth® Connect server and create/modify/deploy channels. See Administrator Launcher Overview for information on opening Mirth® Connect Administrator. It can be accessed from the main launch page in a browser. For additional information on opening the Administrator, see Mirth Connect Administrator Overview. Administrator Layout The Mirth® Connect Administrator includes main view selections and context-specific tasks located on the left side of the window. Working With Tables You can perform actions on tables to make the data easier to view and work with. Monitor Views Management Views Edit Views Other Tasks A number of miscellaneous tasks are available at any time throughout the Mirth® Connect Administrator using the Other tasks menu.

Download the Administrator Launcher

The Administrator Launcher comes bundled with your Mirth® Connect installation. When you go through the graphical installer for Mirth® Connect itself, you have the option to install the Administrator Launcher. You may also want to install the Administrator Launcher on your local workstation. In a web browser, go to your main 8080/8443 launch page. For example, go to http://localhost:8080. Note: Your IP/DNS or port may differ depending on your mirth.properties configuration.
