Applications Control

The Applications Control window displays a list including the Control Panel and all installed applications. Select Applications > Applications Control to view a list including the Control Panel and all installed applications. The name of each application is a link that opens the application. The list also provides the version of the application, an Action button to start or stop the application, a button to Manage the application, and the URL to access the application directly. Applications Control window Note: The functions available on the Applications Control window are also available by going to the menu entry in the Applications menu for each application, and selecting Launch or Manage in the sub-menu that appears. In some cases, the Manage entry itself has another sub-menu. Applications Menu

The Applications menu enables you to configure the Control Panel and any applications installed on the appliance. The Control Panel and each installed application appears in the menu, with a sub-menu enabling you to open and/or manage the application. You can also do these tasks directly from the Applications Control window. It is likely that you have Mirth® Connect installed as one of your applications. The sub-menus for Mirth® Connect contain some extra choices, including Clustering. See Mirth Connect Advanced Clustering for more information. Add an Application to the Utilities Menu

You can customize the list of applications that can be opened from the Utilities menu. From the Utilities menu, select Customize. The Customize window opens. Do one of the following to enter the path for the application to add to the Utilities menu: Enter the Application path. You can also enter a specific location in the application, such as a web page. Select Browse. The Select Program to Launch window opens. Find and double-click the application to add the path for. Note: You can add only applications with file extensions of .exe, .com or .bat. The Application path fills in. You can add a specific location to the selected application path. Enter the Utilities Menu Item name for the application. To open a specific file, part, or instance of an application, enter the Parameter. You can enter an argument or web page address, manually create a command from your stored files, or select a system variable from the Parameter list. Configuring and Managing Load Balancing

You can configure the load balancing service. Manage a load-balanced group by managing each node. To be certain which appliance you are connecting to, you should connect directly to the real IP address of each node, not the virtual IP address. To configure load balancing, select Services > Load Balancing. To configure the load balancing service, you need to know the primary IP address (from the eth0 interface) of all participating appliances, as well as an additional, unused IP for the virtual IP address. For each node, select the Role (one primary, all others are secondary), enter the same Virtual IP address, select a Heartbeat Interval, and enter the Appliance IP address for each of the other nodes. When you are configuring the primary node, enter the IP addresses for all other nodes in the multi-line text box and separate those IP addresses by commas or new lines. The following table describes the fields on the Employer Defaults tab. Field Description Employer Name Enter the name of the employer. Billing Address/ Corporate Address Select the kind of address you want to enter. Address/ City/ State/ Zip/ Country/ County The first space is for street number and name. The second space is for other address details such as suite number. If the ZIP code table is set up, you can enter the ZIP code, and the city, state, county, and country automatically display. Phone/Ext The area code defaults in from the General Practice Preferences. Enter the phone number and extension. Type of Business Enter the kind of business the employer is in. External ID Enter the external ID, which is a key for other applications to use when mapping fields. General Tab

The General tab on the Default Appointment- Scheduling Preferences window enables you to set the default appointment scheduling preferences. The following table describes the fields on the General tab. Field Description Refresh appointments every "X" minutes If there are multiple users scheduling appointments at the same time, you can make the application refresh the appointment book at set intervals by entering the desired number of minutes. The refresh option updates the appointment book with any new appointments, cancellations, and modifications.
