Configuring Automatic Updates

The Automatic Updates service enables you to set handling parameters for new appliance updates.

Select Services > Auto Update to set handling parameters for new appliance updates on the Automatic Update window.

This service enables a certain level of update automation. You can choose to download and install updates automatically. You can also set a start time and duration for when and how long you want to download and install any updates. Setting a schedule helps to ensure update activity occurs outside high traffic periods.

If the Automatic Updates service is not running before you configure the service, then the window displays a notice after you update the settings. Select the Services window link in the notice to be redirected to the Services Control window where you can select Start next to the service name.
