Field	Description
External System	Displays the specific practice name associated with the external interface.
External Enterprise	Displays the specific enterprise name associated with the external interface.
External Practice	Displays the name of the system that interfaces with the application.
Export Charge	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether charges are exported to and from the external interface.
Export New Patient	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether new patients are exported to and from the external interface.
Export Update Patient	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether updated patients are exported to and from the external interface.
Export Delete Charge	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether deleted charges are exported to and from the external interface.
Export Encounter	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether encounters are exported to and from the external interface.
Export Lab Order	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether lab orders are exported to and from the external interface.
Export Medication	Displays Y for yes or N for no to indicate whether medications are exported to and from the external interface.
Creator	Displays the name of the user who created the ID.
Create Date	Displays the date that the ID was created.
Preferences	Select this button to modify the Practice Preferences. This button only displays when you are modifying a practice.

Add External Systems to a Practice

Access the Practices master file to associate an external system with a practice. From the External tab, do one of the following: To add a new item, select the open menu button and then select New. To modify an existing item, select the item in the list, select the open menu button and then select Open. The Add External Interface window opens. Enter information in the following fields: External Practice ID – Enter the specific practice name associated with the external interface. External Enterprise ID – Enter the specific enterprise name associated with the external interface. External System – Select the system to interface with the application. Effective Date – Specify the date that your practice starts sending data to the external practice. Select the items you want to export to and from the external system. You can view a list of the external systems that are associated with the practices in your enterprise. Access the Practice master file. On the Practices List Access window, double-click a practice. The Modify Practice Information window appears. Select the External tab. Providers System Tab

On the System tab, you can add a provider or modify provider details using the following field descriptions. Field Description Provider Payers This field lists payers and payer numbers added to the provider. After you add a provider, you should add values in the Provider Payers list. Taxonomy Code This field displays a default taxonomy code to classify providers according to type or specialty. Specialty Code1/ Specialty Code2 This field displays the provider's specialty codes. You can modify specialties in the Specialties master file. Provider Subgrouping 1/ Provider Subgrouping 2 (User-defined fields) This field displays provider subgrouping category types that you can use as reporting filters. To modify the information, you can refer to the Provider Subgrouping 1 and Provider Subgrouping 2 fields on the General tab of the Enterprise Preferences window.
