Void a Charge with No Transactions
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Charges. The Charge Posting window opens. Select the patient and encounter. Select a charge that you want to void. Do one of the following: Select Void. Right-click and then select Void. A message appears stating that if you void the charge, the charge cannot be reversed. To void the charge, select OK. In the charge ledger, the voided charge is now crossed-out. The original charge amount and quantity are reversed using a system-generated Void Charge adjustment transaction code. The reversed amount appears in the Adjustment column of the ledger. To view the system-generated transaction, right-click on the charge and then select Expand All. A row appears below the voided charge showing the Void Charge adjustment transaction code and the voided amount in the Pat Amt column. The padlock icon indicates the transaction is locked and cannot be undone. Parent topic: Voiding Charges

View Outsourced Charges from the Patient Chart
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Chart. The Patient Lookup window opens. Enter search criteria to search the desired patient. Select Find. All existing persons and patients that match the entered search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select Matching Records, and then double-click to open the patient. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Financial tab. Select the encounter, and then double-click the encounter you want to view. The application displays the outsourcing information under the Outsource Agency and Outsource Date columns. Parent topic: Outsource Charges

Reverse Transactions on Encounters
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart, and then in Patient Lookup, enter your search criteria, and then select Find. Matching people and patient records appear in the search results. In Matching Records, select a patient record , and then select Open. The Patient Information tab opens in the Patient Chart window. Select the Encounters tab, select the Transactions tab, and then select an encounter. The charges and transaction (payments, adjustments, and refunds) information for an encounter appears. To reverse the transactions, select the open menu icon next to Charges and Transactions, and then select Reverse Transactions. Optional: To view transaction details, NextGen® Document Management explanation of benefits and fee tickets, and credit card information, in the Transactions tab, select the necessary options. View Eligibility Information for a Patient
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. On the main toolbar, select Chart or Chart Lookup.. The Patient Lookup window opens. In the Search Criteria section, enter the patient's information, and select Find. Patient records that match the search criteria appear in the Matching Records section. Select the patient and then select Open. The Patient Chart window opens. Select the Encounters tab. From the Encounters list, select an encounter with a payer attached. Access the patient's chart and select the Encounters tab. Select the Insurance tab.
