Using Report Filter 1

You can use Filter 1 on the Report Filter window to define the date range for which you want the data to appear on the report. Other options found on Filter 1 vary by report (e.g. Encounter Status, Charge Type, Appointment Status, Include/Exclude Unapplied Credits, Aging Dates, etc.), and can be used to include or exclude certain data accordingly. For example, if on the Appointment Listing report you select No Show in the Appt Statuses field on Filter 1, then only appointments marked as No Show appear on the report. Using Report Filter 2

You can use Filter 2 on the Report Filter window to define additional criteria using any column on the report. Each column listed can be filtered using: Between Equals Not Equals Greater than Less than Like For example, if you select Great than and then enter $100.00 in the Self Pay Balance column on Filter 2, then only data that meets the criteria appears on the report (only patient balances greater than $100.00). Configure Filter 2

The Filter 2 configuration enables you to use columns as additional filter criteria to narrow down the data in a Claim Status report. Only the data that match all the defined criteria appear in the report. Open the Configuration Options list for the Claim Status report and select Filter 2. The Filter 2 window opens. Select a column, then select one of the following operators for the column, and then enter the specific free-text criteria for the column. For example, Trace Id. Filtering Report Data

The Filter options enable you to set your report criteria, such as date ranges and statuses. The settings determine which data appears in the columns of your reports. The filter options that display depend on the filter data applicable to the report. Each filter you use creates a limitation of the data that is 'allowed' to display on the report. If you use parameters from Filter 1 and then use parameters from another filter option, such as Filter 2, only the data that matches the parameters for both Filter 1 and 2 display on the report.
