Use Advanced Search Criteria to Locate Tasks
Open
NextGen® Enterprise PM
.
Select
Tasks
>
Worklog Manager
or from the main toolbar select the
Worklog
button.
The
Enterprise Worklog Manager
window opens.
From the
Advanced
tab, select the necessary field and expression.
Valid options for
Expression
include: Equal, Not Equal, Greater Than, Less Than.
Enter the applicable date in the
Value
field in MMDDYYYY format.
Use the
And/Or
field to add another line to the advanced search. Select one of the following:
And
: Search results are based on meeting the search criteria for both the lines.
Or
: Search results are based on meeting the search criteria for either of the line.
Continue entering all the lines for the search.
Note:
If you enter too many lines in your search, you could make the search too complex and your search results might turn up nothing.
Select
Find
.
The search results display in the Task List.

Use Advanced Search Criteria to Locate Tasks
The Advanced tab allows you to set up a search using a mathematical expression to define and narrow the scope of the search. From the Advanced tab, select the drop-down arrow in the Field field and select the field you want to use in the search. Select the drop-down arrow in the Expression field and select the expression that filters your search as desired. Valid options include: Equal, Not Equal, Greater Than, Less Than. Enter the applicable date in the Date field in MMDDYYYY format. Use the And/Or field to add another line to the advanced search. Select one of the following: And: Search results are based on meeting the search criteria for both the line where "And" was selected and the line below it (Criteria from both lines must be met.) Or: Search results are based on meeting the search criteria for either the line where "Or" was selected or the line below it, but not both lines of the search (Criteria from one line must be met.) Start to Work on a Task
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Tasks > Worklog Manager or from the main toolbar select the Worklognull button. The Enterprise Worklog Manager window opens. Enter the necessary search criteria, and then select Find to display the task list. If you want to open the tasks specifically assigned to you as a user, you can select the My Tasks button on the Enterprise Worklog Manager window, or you can access them through the Tasks section of the Advisor window. Select and double-click the desired task or right-click the task, and then select Open. The Edit Task window opens for the task you want to update. Edit Task window From the Task Info tab, select the down arrow in the Status field, and then select In Progress. Note: When you do a mass update, the Task Subgrouping1 and Task Subgrouping2 fields are not required. Select the calendar button to select a start date or follow-up date. Follow-up on a Task
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Tasks > Worklog Manager or from the main toolbar select the Worklognull button. The Enterprise Worklog Manager window opens. Enter the necessary search criteria, and then select Find to display the task list. If you want to open the tasks specifically assigned to you as a user, you can select the My Tasks button on the Enterprise Worklog Manager window, or you can access them through the Tasks section of the Advisor window. Select and double-click the desired task or right-click the task, and then select Open. The Edit Task window opens for the task you want to update. Edit Task window From the Task Info tab, enter notes on task progress in the Details section each time you work on the task. Select Ctrl+Shift D to add the current date, time, and signature to your notes. This is a free-form text field. Optional: Change the date in the Follow Up Dt field. Discontinue Auto Creation of a Task
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Tasks > Worklog Manager or from the main toolbar select the Worklognull button. The Enterprise Worklog Manager window opens. Enter the necessary search criteria, and then select Find to display the task list. Select and double-click the desired task or right-click the task, and then select Open. The Edit Task window opens for the task you want to update. The window displays with the Task Info tab selected by default. Edit Task window Select the Discontinue future auto creation of this task type checkbox. Note: The Until option is selected by default and the corresponding date field becomes available. If you select Until you must designate an end date. You can select the current day or future dates for defining when system can start auto creating task. The date field displays only dates from the current day forward. Select OK.

Locating Tasks
You can use the Worklog Manager window to locate tasks that exist in the system. The General tab displays the various search options that are available. The search is based on the search criteria you enter. Several of the search options are those that are used when creating tasks, such as Subject, Status, Priority, etc. The Employer/Last Name and First Name fields are used to search for a source by name. Complete Multiple Tasks
Open NextGen® Enterprise PM. Select Tasks > Worklog Manager or from the main toolbar select the Worklognull button. The Enterprise Worklog Manager window opens. Select all the tasks to mark as complete, right-click, and then select Open. The Edit Task window appears. Select the appropriate status and priority from the list. and then select the Status and Priority checkboxes. Select the Completion Dt checkbox, and then select the appropriate completion date. Select the Completed By checkbox, and then select your user name from the list. Select OK. A confirmation message displays prompting you to confirm the completion of multiple tasks. Select Yes. A confirmation message of the task completions displays.
